S1101 Ethics (SIA) 14-17 August 2018

This training was requested by the Samoa Institute of Accountants (SIA) to provide an insight on business ethics and its roles on good governance and leadership. This training is aimed at enhancing professional obligations, identifying the obstacles facing firms as well as opportunities and challenges for public practices.

S1102 Project Management Training (PSC) 20-24 August 2018

The Public Service Commission has requested this training to ensure that public servants will be able to manage a variety of critical projects which will impact the sector as a whole. A firm understanding for the public service for Project Management principles and application is essential if these activities are to be successful. The objectives of this training are:

  • To define project management
  • Develop a framework for project management
  • Discuss and identify the key principles of the project management life cycle
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage the scope of a project.

S1103 Conflict Management (NUS) 20-24 August 2018

1 Trainer

The National University of Samoa has requested this training to help assist management level staff to solve any types of conflicts arising within the university effectively and efficiently. This training will also be a part of capacity building for each participant towards achieving target goals. Content of the training will include the advantages of conflict management, effective listening, mediation and negotiation skills as well as the promotion of trust and collaboration within the public sector.

The Samoa Institute of Accountants has requested this training to raise awareness and understanding of the changes including disclosure checklist on IFRS and Auditing Standards that are relevant to business arenas in Samoa. IFRS and Auditing Standards are critical to the work of accountants/auditors.  It is imperative that Samoa is up to date with changes and application to improve the work that we do.

This course aims to provide an overview of the five major areas that all business owners need to appreciate, and all businesses need to address to assist business owners to identify gaps within their processes.
